DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A teenager who was jailed on attempted homicide charges after police say he pointed a gun and pulled the trigger at a minor during a party in Dauphin County, is now out.

Online court documents show that 16-year-old Liam McMillen, of Camp Hill, was granted and posted a $200,000 bail on Wednesday. Originally, McMillen was denied bail.

The reason for the change is unclear, as court records did not state why. McMillen is scheduled to appear in court Thursday for a preliminary hearing.

McMillen also faces charges of aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a minor from the incident.

According to the charges filed by Lower Paxton Township Police, McMillen showed up uninvited to the party, happening in the 2700 block of English Court, on Sept. 14 .

Police said McMillen got upset about a comment that was made about him by a minor, so he pulled out a gun, pointed it, and pulled the trigger at the minor, but the gun jammed. He managed to leave the scene before police arrived but was later found and charged.

McMillen was charged as a minor at first after he was taken into custody. Still, police said as they continued to investigate, they filed an additional charge of attempted homicide against him.

No one was reportedly injured in the incident.

WHERE ARE THE PARENTS AND ADULTS HOLDING THEIR KIDS ACCOUNTABLE and teaching them right and wrong and what life is about? what about the party? Were there drugs, alcohol? At the very least, minors out after curfew? ALL THE PARENTS WHO LET THEIR UNDERAGE KID GO TO A PARTY AFTER CURFEW WITHOUT THEIR PARENT/GAURDIAN SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE, especially parties like the ones that been thrown. Where you pay to get in or there is a line outside the door. Organize party with responsible adults is one thing. IM SPEAKING AS A MOTHER. It caused some issues while my daughter was young and I compromised and said "you want to have a party have it here at home". Going to a Huge house party NO. Small ones with friends sometimes but I told her what can go on and what to expect and what not to do. If that makes me a strict mother IDC! My job as a parent is to raise them right so they are prepared for the real world and to make right decisions cause anything can happen.

Daddy and mommy must've posted the bail money smfh. I would've let his dumb ass sitting right in Jail until the hearing. If you want to act grown and badass then you can sit in jail and think about the bad choices you made over and over again. Always remember bad decisions eventually brings bad consequences. NOONE IS ABOVE THE LAW. PERIOD.
