(WHTM) — People across central Pennsylvania continue to extend a helping hand further south to Hurricane Helene victims.

Donations have been pouring in at 911 Rapid Response in Annville.

Keystone Emergency Spill Response will be leaving on Monday to help with the search and rescue and disaster relief efforts in the western parts of North Carolina.

“With the industry that we serve, we can understand the impact of a natural disaster,” Graphics Manager for 911 Rapid Response, Maggie Platco, said. “Not only for the first responders but for all the communities that are involved, and we are doing the best we can to help from afar.”

As for ways that people can donate, items can be dropped off at the rapid response building from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. until Friday night. They are also open Saturday for last-minute donations but prefer to have all donations in by Friday.
