LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A new behavioral health crisis walk-in center is coming to Lancaster.

It will be in Lancaster General Hospital.

The goal is to offer treatment for low-risk patients, who really don’t need the emergency room.

When it’s complete they expect to treat 10,000 people a year.

“We expect to impact roughly about 4000 patients and about 6000 phone calls, individuals that call and maybe need help navigating the behavioral system where maybe they need to go to the emergency department or our crisis walking center,” Executive Director for Behavioral Health Service Line Tracey Lavallias said.
