MIFFLIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — At least two firefighters were injured and 15 people displaced in a multi-alarm rowhome fire in Mifflin County on Monday.

Lewistown Fire Department shared on Facebook that emergency crews responded to the fire that broke out before 11 a.m. at a rowhome along Valley Street. The fire was seen spreading to other homes when crews arrived.

The American Red Cross of Central Pennsylvania said their Disaster Action Team responded to the scene to help victims by providing them with emergency lodging, food, financial assistance, and emotional support.

Additionally, the Red Cross is continuing to support 15 victims displaced in yesterday’s fire.

“Several” firefighters were injured during the blaze, and two of them were taken to the hospital to be treated for burns, the post states.

The fire would eventually reach fourth alarm and take around four hours for crews to put out.
