CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — A dispute between two patrons inside a Chambersburg bar early Saturday morning ended in a stabbing that left one man in critical condition, police said.

According to the criminal complaint, when police arrived at the bar, there was a large crowd in the parking lot, and they were directed to McLeod who was inside. The victim already left the scene.

McLeod was found in a storage area with a deep cut to his left hand and did not speak with police. Instead, police were able to watch surveillance video footage that showed McLeod and the victim standing in the beer take-out area in the middle of a dispute, the complaint shows.

Eventually, the two walked to the dance floor, and the victim then tried to hit McLeod, causing a fight to break out, police said. Security officers were able to step in and break the two up almost immediately.

This didn’t stop McLeod, because he allegedly broke free and pushed his way through the officers, and he then stabbed the victim in the face, neck and torso, the charges show.

Police were later notified that the victim was at the hospital and were told by a doctor they are in critical condition.

McLeod is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing on Oct. 15.
