    Victim identified in fatal Route 22 crash in Dauphin County

    DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A victim has been identified in Tuesday night’s fatal crash on Route 22 in Dauphin County, according to Lower Paxton Township Police.

    A motorcycle and a pickup truck collided around 8 p.m. at the intersection of Allentown Blvd and S Arlene St. on Route 22, closing the roadway between Mountain Road and Blue Ribbon Road, the Lower Paxton Township Police Department said.

    Motorcyclist Michael Butchko, 21, was transported to a local hospital with severe injuries and was later pronounced dead, police said.

    The driver of the pickup truck’s condition is unknown, but police say only one person was transported to the hospital.

    There is no word on how the crash happened.

    Lower Paxton Township Police are investigating. Police encourage anyone with information regarding the incident to contact Ofc Bartow at 717-558-6900.
