New traffic pattern announced for Chambersburg intersection

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — Drivers in one part of Chambersburg should note a new traffic pattern effective next week.

Fifth Avenue and Grant Street will be an all-way stop beginning next week and the turn arrows on Grant Street will be removed. Currently, only Grant Street has a stop sign at the T-intersection.

For the first month, the stop signs will include flashing lights to warn drivers of the new traffic pattern.

After the first month, a crosswalk will be installed on the south side of the intersection as well.
