    York County man sentenced to 10 years in prison for trafficking meth

    YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A York County man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for trafficking methamphetamine.

    The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced that Craig Smith, 53, of York County, was sentenced on October 8 for trafficking over 500 grams of meth.

    The office says on May 6, 2020, Smith entered a guilty plea where he admitted he tried to acquire over 600 grams of methamphetamine from a drug dealer in Philadelphia County.

    Police arrested him and found a gun. Smith was charged with conspiracy to traffic meth with Kimberly Forney, Cody Mitzel, Christa Tabor, and Sheridan Lee Boothe.

    The four other defendants also pled guilty to their roles in trafficking meth.

    Forney was sentenced to 14 years in prison, Mitzel was sentenced to 36 months in prison, Boothe was sentenced to 100 months, and Tabor pled guilty to conspiracy to traffic methamphetamine and is awaiting sentencing.
