    Harrisburg Line Track Renewal Project advances ahead of schedule

    HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM)– Amtrak announced Thursday that the Harrisburg Line Track Renewal Project is progressing ahead of schedule, with its replacement bus service scheduled to end two weeks early.

    According to Amtrak, the replacement bus service is now set to end on Nov. 7. Amtrak’s booking channels are also updated with new schedules for Nov. 8 and beyond.

    This Week in Pennsylvania

    Amtrak said the project, which began in March, will deliver a more reliable ride for customers. Forty-three track miles of rail have been replaced, and 113,825 concrete ties have been installed so far in the now 95% complete project.

    This is a $122 million project between Lancaster and Harrisburg.
