MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — The Speaker of the House will be in the Midstate campaigning for incumbent U.S. Rep. Scott Perry.

Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA) will be in Mechanicsburg supporting the six-term representative. Johnson is expected to talk about his continued effort to grow a Republican majority in the House.

This Week in Pennsylvania

Perry is running against ex-news anchor and political newcomer Janelle Stelson.

Johnson’s visit comes the same week where Perry participated in his only debate with Stelson live on abc27 and a pre-debate poll showed Perry trailing Stelson by 9 points.

The last day to register to vote is October 21, the last day to request a mail-in or absentee ballot is October 29, and ballots must be returned to your county Board of Election by 8 p.m. on Election Day, November 5.
