Pleasant and milder weekend on tap after a frosty start today

Patchy frost is likely this morning as many backyards dipped into the 30s last night. Thanks to the clear skies last night, the Aurora Borealis put on quite a show across Central PA! Many of you shared your photos of the dazzling northern lights with us and we thank you! Today will be sunny and pleasant with warmer temperatures. Highs should reach the upper 60s. Tonight won’t be as chilly but it will still be clear and comfy with lows around 50°.

A milder weekend is on tap with afternoon highs in the 70s ahead of an approaching cold front. This front could bring a passing shower Saturday night and Sunday, but more importantly, provide another week of cool and mainly dry weather for Central PA. Tuesday and Wednesday will be cool with highs in the mid-50s! Some clouds will be around early next week as an upper trough sets up for the Northeast. Thanks to the cooler temperatures, a better chance of widespread frost could occur by next Wednesday and Thursday. A warming trend is expected again by the end of next week. We’ll keep you posted!
