DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — Officials announced an inmate is facing charges in connection to the series of recent overdoses at the Dauphin County Prison.

Prison inmate Shane Underkoffler, 35, was charged Friday with felonies of contraband and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, online court records state.

A total of ten inmates suffered overdoses, with one being in critical condition but they are awake and showing signs of improvement, according to a news release from Dauphin County Commissioners.
