    Police arrest ‘violent fugitive’ in Lancaster County

    LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)– Police in Lancaster County have apprehended a “violent fugitive” who was on the run for allegedly raping and assaulting a woman last week.

    According to the Manor Township Police Department , Efrain Mateo is now in custody at Lancaster County Prison and is awaiting an arraignment.

    Police: Armed and dangerous Lancaster man wanted for rape and assault

    Police say this arrest was a coordinated effort by the State Police Fugitive Task Force, the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office, and Detective Colleen Tatara.

    Mateo was on the run and considered armed and dangerous after allegedly raping a victim in the 3500 block of Blue Rock Road in Lancaster County on Oct. 3. Police say this apprehension is a step in ensuring safety in the Manor Township community.
