    230 students compete in East Pennsboro Special Olympics events

    (WHTM) — Tonight’s Hometown Heroes are over 230 Special Olympic athletes who competed in the Midstate today.

    230 Special Olympians faced off in a variety of events at East Pennsboro High School today, and one of them has a volunteer student buddy. The event involved almost everyone in the high school.

    “This is a way to connect kids to school, so we’re excited,” said Michael Robinson, the Superintendent of East Pennsboro High School.

    This is the second year in a row East Pennsboro has hosted the games, after a break during the pandemic years.
