LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)– A Lancaster County man was arrested after allegedly breaking through the door of a residence and strangling a victim, according to Manheim Township Police.

Police say Paul Pillot-Figueroa, 52, broke into the victim’s home on North Duke Street and assaulted them before he was arrested on Oct. 9.

The victim told police that they blocked the front door with a sofa as Pillot-Figueroa approached the residence. Pillot-Figueroa eventually broke through the makeshift barricade and grabbed hold of the victim’s neck, briefly cutting off their breathing.

According to police, a struggle ensued before an officer arrived on the scene. Police say Pillot-Figueroa was taken into custody and was in possession of suspected cocaine and marijuana.

Pillot-Figueroa was taken to Lancaster County prison, where he remains after failing to post a $150,000 bail, per police.
