MANHEIM TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WHTM) — There are new pickleball courts in one part of Lancaster County.

The Manheim Township Recreation Department cut the ribbon on new courts at Overlook Park.

The township says it received and matched a $250,000 Pennsylvania state grant to start construction in September 2023.

A year later, eight courts were soft-launched last month.

“For all the enthusiasts and people that want to play, it gives them more work space to play it,” Stacey Morgan Brubaker, Manheim Township Commissioners chair, said. “And the other thing that I’ve heard from from pickleball players is this helps with competition.”
