California's best high school mascot is one step closer to being the best in the nation.

The Horned Toads of Coalinga earned a number-one seed after winning last year's state title.

The public can vote on their favorite name in a contest hosted by SB Live Sports.

The Horned Toads have reached the Championship round against the nation's top mascots and are currently up against the 10-seeded Miami Wardogs of Oklahoma.

If you would like to represent the Central Valley and show your support for the Horned Toads, visit their website to vote.

You can also vote as many times as you like.
