DAVIS COUNTY, Utah (ABC4) — Davis County police and fire agencies are coming together in a friendly competition called “ Davis Adopts ” in an effort to help animals find their “furever” homes.
Starting August 8, and going through August 15, agencies will be competing to see which can adopt out the most animals from Animal Care of Davis County . If you’re planning on adopting at the shelter, let them know which team you’re rooting for to get them points in the competition.
Thursday, there was a kick-off event for the competition at the Animal Care of Davis County. The first day was a success, the Davis County Sheriff’s Office shared. There were nine adoptions — three dogs, and six cats. All were attributed to police, giving them a headstart in the competition.
Check out your favorite agency’s pages in the county to find out if they’re participating and to see photos and videos of available pets throughout the week.
