SALT LAKE CITY ( ABC4 ) – Happy Wednesday, Utah! Winds from the west have begun drying things out from west to east.

We’ll still see a few isolated storms, especially east of the I-15 corridor, but overall, there will be much less activity. Drier air will continue to slide into the region from the west on Thursday and Friday, leading to more sunshine and drier conditions for most of the state.

Temperatures are expected to rebound to near seasonal highs for the latter half of the week, after being a few degrees below average for our Wednesday.

Looks like a more active pattern may once again try to build back in across the area for the second half of our upcoming weekend. An upper low off the west coast, and high-pressure ridge to our southeast will try to help squeeze moisture back to the north into the area.

Areawide moisture will likely return Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, before drying out mid-next week.

We will keep you updated on the latest developments in our 4Warn Weather forecast both on-air and online. We are Good4Utah!

    • Isolated storms NE Utah (I-15 & east)
    • Comfy temperatures Sunny, drier late-week, average, to slightly above
    • Monsoonal moisture returns next weekend
    • Better chances return Sunday-Tuesday
