The officer stopped Poe to begin an investigation, but Poe reportedly ran, refusing to stop at police command. A Utah Dept. of Public Safety helicopter responded and helped officers find Poe.

Upon taking Poe into custody, officers seized methamphetamine, over 150 blue M-30 fentanyl pills, cash, and drug paraphernalia.

Poe was booked into Salt Lake County Jail on two felony charges of distribution of a controlled substance, failure to stop at the command of a police officer, and providing false information to a police officer.

Charges are allegations only. All arrested persons are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
