SALT LAKE CITY ( ABC4 ) — You may or may not know this, but “John Wick” and “The Matrix” star Keanu Reeves has another talent — music. And not just with Wyld Stallyns from “Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure.” Reeves plays bass in the rock band Dogstar , which is currently on tour and will be stopping in Salt Lake City on Tuesday, Sept. 3.

The show will be at the Union Event Center with special guest Sons of Silver . Tickets are still available for purchase online , with a price of $45 for general admission.

The Salt Lake City concert is a part of the band’s “Summer Vacation Tour,” which kicked off in early August. The tour comes after Dogstar reunited for their first performance in 20 years at the Bottlerock Napa Valley music festival last year.

Highly-requested legend Dick Van Dyke announced to return to FanX this September

The band, made up of Reeves, drummer Rob Mailhouse, and guitarist/vocalist Bret Domrose, released their first album in two decades, Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees , in October.

The group, originally formed in 1991, stayed active through the early 2000s, releasing the albums Our Little Visionary and Happy Ending during that time. The band toured extensively and opened for artists David Bowie and Bon Jovi.

Following their hiatus, the band started jam sessions again in 2020 and officially announced their reunion in 2022. Dogstar last played in Salt Lake City at the Complex in August 2023.
