    Family displaced after house fire in Taylorsville

    TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (ABC4) — A family was displaced after a house fire started on the deck of a Taylorsville home on Monday.

    Unified Fire personnel were called to a home in the 6400 block of S. Coybrook Drive around 8:30 a.m. Monday morning.

    “[The fire] started on the deck, spread to the eaves and into the attic space,” Unified Fire told ABC4.com.

    While the fire was out within 20 minutes, the home sustained significant fire, smoke, and water damage. The family was displaced due to the damage.

    Unified Fire said the Red Cross was on the way to assist the displaced family. The damage is reported to be around $200,000.

    No injuries occurred to occupants or responders. The cause is currently under investigation by Unified Fire.

    West Jordan Fire also responded to this incident.
