ST. GEORGE, Utah ( ABC4 ) — A man who was reported missing in August was found dead in St. George on Wednesday afternoon, according to police.

According to the St. George Police Department , the man was identified as Eliot D. Hill, 61, and he was the subject of a Silver Alert issued on Aug. 29.

Officers were first dispatched to the area of 1600 S. Black Ridge Dr. for reports of a person down, and when they arrived at the scene, they found Hill.

According to the Aug. 29 Silver Alert, Hill did not have medication with him that he needed for bipolar personality disorder and Parkinson’s. St. George Police clarified that a Silver Alert is issued for missing persons — “especially senior citizens with physical/mental illnesses.”

“Our deepest sympathies go out to the family and friends affected by this tragic incident,” police said in a social media post Wednesday.
