    2-year-old dies after being pulled from canal in Logan

    LOGAN, Utah (ABC4) — Police in Logan say that a two-year-old died after reportedly being pulled from a canal in Cache County.

    The child was reported missing just after 6:30 p.m. According to a press release from LPD, the child was reported missing from a home in the 100 block N 400 W. Officers located the child in the canal, unresponsive.

    CPR was started on the child by Logan Police, with paramedics taking over the life-saving efforts a short time later.

    The child died at the hospital.

    No further information is available at this time and the child’s name is not being released. An investigation into the apparent drowning is ongoing.
