    Pedestrian hit, killed while walking on Moab road

    MOAB, Utah ( ABC4 ) — A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and killed while walking in Moab Friday night, according to Utah Highway Patrol.

    Shortly after 9 p.m. on Sept. 6, a red Honda Fit was heading northbound on S.R. 191. At the same time, a female pedestrian was walking near mile marker 121 in the northbound lane.

    The pedestrian was struck and pronounced dead on scene.

    The identity of the deceased has not been released at this time.

    Both directions of S.R. 191 were closed following the crash.
