SALT LAKE CITY ( ABC4 ) — Happy Friday, Utah! It’s been a pleasant afternoon with plenty of sunshine and below-average temperatures.

Friday usually means Beehive Blitz this time of year, and our Friday night forecast is calling for cool and dry conditions along the Wasatch Front with warm and dry weather expected in St. George.

Fall feelings with below average Friday temperatures

Saturday will feature mostly sunny skies. An area of high pressure will build in from the west, leading to a decent warming trend for the region. High temperatures will warm into the mid-80s along the Wasatch Front and low 90s for SW Utah.

Sunday will be another warm one with high temps climbing into the mid-80s to low 90s areawide.

The increasing southerly flow will also start to increase moisture levels across the state. Isolated shower and storm chances will be introduced in the forecast beginning on Sunday.

Another strong storm system will begin to approach the area from the west to kick off the new week. Right now, it’s looking like this storm system will lead to an extended period of some unsettled weather for most of next week.
