ST. GEORGE, Utah (ABC4) St. George Police arrested a man on Tuesday after a female resident reported a man followed her home Monday in the 100 block of South 1000 East, near Utah Tech University. This arrest follows a string of similar reports in that area of St. George.

The man arrested, identified as Christopher Lee Coulter now faces charges of criminal trespassing, disorderly conduct, possession of drug paraphernalia, and drug possession — schedule 1, 2, or controlled substance analog. Coulter allegedly followed a woman to her home while shouting at her near Utah Tech University Monday afternoon.

Coulter was located again on Tuesday in the same area, and St. George police arrested him just before 2 p.m. on Sept. 17. He was booked into Washington County Jail on the previously mentioned charges. This is not SGPD’s first incident that involved Coulter in the past few days.

St. George Police report in Tuesday’s probable cause statement that his last incident was over the prior weekend. On Sept. 14, Coulter was arrested by SGPD for burglary of a vehicle, criminal trespassing, and public intoxication. He was indicted for these crimes on Monday, Sept. 16.

According to Tuesday’s affidavit of probable cause, Coulter’s criminal history showed the following:

    • Total Number of Incidents: 8
    • Total Number of Incidents With Convictions: 3
    • Total Number of Incidents With a Felony: 3
    • Total Number of Incidents With a Felony Conviction: 2
    • Total Number of Incidents Without Dispositions: 5

“The St. George Police Department urges anyone with additional information regarding similar behavior to contact the police department,” the department posted online.

Charges are allegations only. All arrested persons are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
