    ‘Millions’ in damage, 1 injured after Ogden building fire

    OGDEN, Utah ( ABC4 ) — A fire at a commercial building in Ogden left one injured and caused millions in damage costs early Friday morning, according to the Ogden Fire Dept.

    At around 1:05 a.m. on Sept. 20, fire crews responded to reports of a commercial fire on the 700 West block in the Business Depot of Ogden. Crews arrived to find a large building with heavy smoke coming from the roof of the structure.

    Fire personnel were able to extinguish the fire, which had reportedly started in industrial equipment at the building. The staff then secured the building.

    Damage is estimated in the millions, according to a press release from Ogden Fire.

    One person reportedly sustained minor injuries while trying to put out the fire prior to the arrival of fire crews.

    Weber Fire personnel also responded to this incident. The Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause and origin of the fire.
