BODY FOUND: Man found dead in Box Elder County

Update, 5:39 p.m.:

BOX ELDER COUNTY, Utah ( ABC4 ) — The deceased has been identified as James Puuri, 64, of Kalispell, Montana, according to the Utah Dept. of Public Safety.

The time and cause of death are pending results of an autopsy. Puuri was reportedly on the missing persons list.

BOX ELDER COUNTY, Utah ( ABC4 ) — A man was found dead in Box Elder County Friday morning, according to Utah Highway Patrol .

At around 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 20, a body was found inside a vehicle just off of I-15 in Box Elder County, according to Sgt. Battenfield, UHP.

The deceased individual is described as a man in his 60s. He was found at the Perry rest stop along the northbound side of the freeway.

No foul play is suspected at this time.

The State Bureau of Investigation has reportedly taken over the case.

The identity of the deceased will be released pending notification of family members.
