    Man shot and killed in Ogden, homicide investigation underway

    OGDEN, Utah ( ABC4 ) — A 45-year-old man was pronounced dead after being found with a gunshot wound early Saturday morning, according to Ogden Police.

    At around 4 a.m. on Sept. 21, police responded to the 2800 block of Childs Avenue on a report of a gunshot wound.

    Upon arrival, officers found a 45-year-old man in critical condition. Medical personnel rendered aid to the man and transported him to a local hospital, where he was later declared deceased.

    BODY FOUND: Man found dead in Box Elder County

    The Weber County Homicide Task Force is now investigating this case. The identity of the victim has not been released at this time.

    “Preliminary findings indicate that this was an isolated incident, and there is no known threat to the public at this time,” a press release from Ogden Police states. “We sincerely thank the medical personnel, the Weber County Homicide Task Force, Weber County Crime Scene Investigation, and our community partners for their prompt response and dedicated efforts during this difficult time.”
