UINTAH COUNTY, Utah ( ABC4 ) — A man who went missing out of Spanish Fork earlier this month was found dead in Uintah County on Saturday.

According to the Uintah County Sheriff’s Office , Blayne Parkin was reported missing in Spanish Fork on Sept. 11. He was believed to have been last located at an oilfield in Uintah County.

On Sept. 15, deputies located a camper shell believed to be connected to Parkin at an oilfield which led them to call in search and rescue teams from multiple agencies. Several days later, authorities located Parkin’s vehicle in a remote area near the Colorado state line approximately 45 miles from the camper shell.

While the incident is still under investigation, authorities do not believe there to be foul play at this time. The Medical Examiner’s Office is currently looking into the cause of death.

“We would like to extend our condolences to the family and friends of Blayne Parkin,” the Uintah County Sheriff’s Office said .
