    Man found dead near Jordanelle Reservoir, ‘possibly related to road rage incident,’ police say

    Update, 9:07 p.m.:

    HIDEOUT, Utah ( ABC4 ) — A man was found deceased under suspicious circumstances near the Ross Creek Trailhead, north of Jordanelle Reservoir, Thursday morning, according to the Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office.

    At around 11 a.m. on Sept. 26, police received a report of a possible deceased individual near the Ross Creek Trailhead. Upon arrival, deputies found a deceased man outside of a vehicle on the shoulder of the freeway.

    The initial investigation shows that the victim’s death is related to a possible road rage incident, according to the sheriff’s office. Officials said the incident may have occurred around 11 p.m. the night prior — Sept. 25.

    POLICE: 5 dead in ‘multi-vehicle, multi-fatal crash’ in Price

    Investigators are looking for a second vehicle involved in the incident at this time. That vehicle may be a Jeep Gladiator or Jeep Rubicon, with possible front end damage, officials said.

    “We call upon the individuals in the second vehicle to turn themselves in,” a press release from the Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office states. “The sooner you turn yourselves in to deal with the situation the better.”

    There is no indication of danger to the public at this time, officials said. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of family members.

    Investigators urge anyone with information related to this matter to call the sheriff’s office at 435-654-1411.
