The specialized team will reportedly be on the ground for the next two to three weeks to help with disaster management and recovery efforts.

At least 52 people are dead and millions are without power after Helene’s deadly path across the southeastern United States, according to the Associated Press. The powerful Category 4 hurricane has left countless people stranded, without shelter and awaiting rescue.

The hurricane came across Florida’s Big Bend region Thursday evening, bringing with it 140 mph winds and massive rains. It moved across Georgia, the Carolinas and Tennessee, leaving behind a trail of destruction.
