Breeze Airways adds flights from Provo to D.C. and Orlando

PROVO, Utah ( ABC4 ) — Provo is more connected with the United States east coast as Breeze Airways adds new service routes to destination hotspots in Virginia and Florida.

The new routes include flights to the Washington Dulles International Airport just outside Washington, D.C., and to Orlando. Both routes will be served three times a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. Flights to Washington Dulles will begin immediately while the first flights to Orlando will start on Dec. 21.

Breeze Airways – a Utah-based budget airline that operates out of the Provo Municipal Airport – has been steadily adding new routes and services since launching in May 2021. The airline now offers several destinations from Provo including Dallas, Orange County, San Francisco, Phoenix, and Grand Junction, among others.

David Neeleman, Breeze Airways’ CEO and founder, said the new routes will make it easier for residents in Utah County to travel to the Nation’s Capital and Florida.

“It’s an exciting day for us as we launch our newest route from our hometown airport to Washington Dulles International, a route that has never seen service from Provo, and announce a new nonstop to Orlando starting in December,” said Neeleman.

The Provo Municipal Airport has been growing since adding an air traffic control tower in 2005, according to Provo City. Since then, the Provo Airport has added new terminals with plans to add more and welcomed Breeze, Allegiant Air, and American Airlines to its list of commercial services.
