FIRE START: ‘Vedure Creek Fire’ ignites in San Juan County

SAN JUAN COUNTY, Utah ( ABC4 ) — The Vedure Creek Fire, located southwest of Monticello in San Juan County, has grown to over 100 acres.

Air resources are currently on scene. Structures in the area remain threatened at this time.

SAN JUAN COUNTY, Utah ( ABC4 ) — A new fire has kicked up in San Juan County, according to Utah Fire Info.

The “Vedure Creek Fire” is currently sized at over 20 acres and growing. The fire is located on U.S. Forest Service lands.

The Blue Mountain Home subdivision is threatened at this time, officials said. The blaze is reportedly less than a mile away from the community.

The cause of the Vedure Creek Fire is under investigation. Additional resources are en route to the scene.
