SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — The Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square have announced stops in South America as part of their “ Songs of Hope ” world tour.

On Sunday, the choir announced that Aug. 2025 will take the choir to Buenos Aires, Argentina, for the fifth stop of the tour. The Choir and Orchestra also announced a stop in Peru slated for February of 2025.

These mark the fourth and fifth stops on the tour. The most recent stop took place in Sept. 2024 and took the choir to Atlanta. While in Georgia, the group sang with the Morehouse and Spelman Glee Clubs , maintaining relationships that the choir has had for many years.

The stop announced in Buenos Aires is a special one for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints living in South America, as the trip coincides with the 100th anniversary of the LDS Church in South America.

Tickets, venues, guest artists, and live-streaming information will be announced at a later date.

“The formula for a happy life requires hope. The mission of this tour is to inspire all of God’s children — worldwide.” Choir President Michael O. Leavitt said in a press release.

The Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square began its four-year-long world tour in 2023 with a stop in Mexico and continued earlier this year with a stop in the Philippines before the Atlanta stop. The tour is expected to conclude in 2027.
