    9-year-old injured after being hit by car in Utah County

    SARATOGA SPRINGS, Utah (ABC4) — A child was taken to a local hospital after they were struck by a car in Saratoga Springs earlier this afternoon.

    According to the Utah County Sheriff’s Office , a 9-year-old who was riding a dirt bike reportedly pulled out in front of a car traveling westbound. Officials said the child was hit near the intersection of Rolling Sage Way and Grandview Blvd in Saratoga Springs.

    UCSO told ABC4.com that Life Flight was initially dispatched but was later canceled. The child was transported to the hospital in “bravo condition,” meaning the injuries needed care, but they did not require urgent care.

    The child was taken to a local hospital suffering minor injuries in the accident.

    No other details have been provided about the matter.

    Maybe a 9 year old shouldn’t be riding a dirt bike that close to traffic. It’s sad I’m glad he’s ok or will be but I’m personally getting sick of seeing all these children on these electric bicycles cruisin down the street with no education on traffic laws. It’s dangerous
