DENVER ( KDVR ) — The Denver Broncos had a short break after coming off Sunday’s loss to the Los Angeles Chargers that saw cornerback Patrick Surtain II leave with a concussion .

Now, they’re on the road to New Orleans where they will take on the Saints. It’s a homecoming in a way for Broncos head coach Sean Payton who coached there for more than a decade.

Tickets for Denver Broncos vs. New Orleans Saints

Broncos fans looking for a last-minute vacation could consider a trip to New Orleans where tickets are cheap, but the rest of the trip will cost you.

Ticketmaster shows seats starting at around $45 each, and resale site SeatGeek lists them for even cheaper .

A hotel room near the stadium will cost about $150 a night, but flights aren’t nearly as affordable, with a round trip costing about $800.

Forecast for Denver Broncos vs. New Orleans Saints

For the first time this season, the Denver Broncos are playing inside a domed stadium. This means the weather shouldn’t impact play too much.

If you are in New Orleans for the game, high temperatures will be in the 70s with sunny skies.

Back here in Denver, things aren’t looking quite as nice. Thursday night’s forecast has temperatures dropping into the low 50s overnight.

Key things to know for Broncos vs. Saints

The biggest impact for the Broncos is the expected loss of Surtain. The cornerback was injured early in the game against the Chargers and, after being diagnosed with a concussion, did not return.

The concussion protocol generally takes a few days at least, and sometimes a few weeks.

As of Tuesday, he has not returned to practice. While this is no guarantee of anything, it’s unlikely he’ll be on the field in New Orleans.
