Kevin Bacon — of the Bacon Brothers — coming to Utah for free concert

LEHI, Utah ( ABC4 ) — The Bacon Brothers — a band made up of Kevin Bacon and his brother Michael Bacon — will perform at a free concert in Lehi on Thursday, Oct. 17.

The event will be the first live concert held on the soccer field of Lehi City’s new Lehi Family Park , located at 1999 N 600 E, and will also feature different food trucks, booths, activities, and more.

Doors open for the event at 5:30 p.m., with the show scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m. — but patrons are able to save their spots on the day of the event up until noon, as well as after 2 p.m., once production has been set up.

“To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees, the city has implemented crowd control measures, including barricaded around the stage and local law enforcement presence,” Mel Basath, Lehi City Event Manager, said.

The event is free and open to the public. Concert attendees have been encouraged to bring their blankets, chairs, rain jackets, and umbrellas, in case it rains.

“We’re grateful for the community’s ongoing support and thrilled to host this concert at Family Park,” Basath said.

According to the city, the Oct. 17 concert was originally scheduled for a different date .

“This much-anticipated event is expected to draw music lovers and families from across Utah for an unforgettable evening of live music,” Lehi City said in a press release on Wednesday.

The Bacon Brothers have recently released “ Ballad Of The Brothers ,” which is their twelfth release. The brothers have performed around the world, including in well-known venues like Carnegie Hall.
