ShoppingTown Mall to be turned into apartments and more

DEWITT, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — During his State of the County speech last night, County Executive Ryan McMahon highlighted the county’s plans for the future of DeWitt’s ShoppingTown Mall site.

According to McMahon, Benderson Development and OHB Redev have agreed both parties will advance mixed-use development at the former ShoppingTown Mall site.

McMahon says this plan will bring in “hundreds of new housing units.”

It is also slated to bring in office, retail, restaurant, medical, recreation and other community amenities.

Work is expected to begin this summer. They will start with submitting zoning change applications to the Town of DeWitt soon.
