    St. Lawrence County helps with the transition to adulthood for those with diverse needs

    CANTON, N.Y. (WWTI) – The Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs program of St. Lawrence County has announced an upcoming event that supports children with developmental delays or special health care needs as they transition to life after high school.

    Transitioning from high school to adulthood can feel overwhelming, especially for individuals with developmental delays or special health care needs. Transition Triumph will provide a platform for attendees to learn from experts in various fields who specialize in supporting individuals with diverse needs.

    The event takes place on Tuesday, April 16, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Woodcock Conference Suite in the Miller Campus Center of SUNY Canton, featuring a lineup of speakers and resources.

    Throughout the day, attendees can engage with speakers who specialize in areas such as education, employment, independent living, medical and community integration. These experts will offer practical advice, resources and strategies to help individuals with developmental delays or special health care needs thrive.

    Registration for Transition Triumph is now open and available HERE . Lunch will be provided for free to all registered attendees, with opportunities for networking and further discussion.
