POTSDAM, N.Y. (WWTI) – The SUNY Board of Trustees has announced the additional allocation of $1.1 million in Direct State Tax Support for the SUNY Potsdam campus, which is an 8.4% increase over the last fiscal year, according to a SUNY Potsdam press release.

The boost goes above the elevated support that was set in last year’s historic state funding increase, for a total of $3.6 million in additional ongoing support for the SUNY Potsdam campus, a 33.4% increase in Direct State Tax Support over the past two years.

We are gratified that SUNY Potsdam has received an increase of more than $1 million in our budget allocation from the State University of New York System, expanding on last year’s historic increase in public higher education funding across New York State. Thanks to our increased support, we will be able to advance strategic priorities on both the campus and the System level, in order to better serve students today, while preparing them for tomorrow ,”
