WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWTI) – Watertown City Hall will be raising the Israeli flag at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 14.

The flag raising is in celebration to honor of Israeli Independence Day. Watertown’s Mayor Sarah Compo-Pierce will be on hand for the event.

Watertown City Council votes to end flag raising ceremonies

This will be one of the last three flag raisings ceremonies in the city after the City Council voted earlier in the week to end them.

Watertown will raise the Pride and Juneteenth flags for the final two flag raisings because they were already scheduled prior to Monday’s vote.
