Sci-Tech Student Eclipse Art Contest Winners

WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWTI) – Sci-Tech announced the winners of its Student Eclipse Art Contest, students were invited to enter their artwork on any subject related to the total solar eclipse that Watertown experienced on April 8 but they did not need to include a representation of the actual eclipse.

Artwork could be prepared in any medium, however products of Artificial Intelligence programs were not allowed.

Winning entries are:

Grade K-2 – First Place:

• Jack Boulter — Sherman Elementary;

Grade 5-8 – First Place (3 way tie):

• Harley Cottrell — Wiley Intermediate School;
• Brielle Baker — Wiley Intermediate School;
• Erin Brislan — Wiley Intermediate School;

Grade 5-8 – Honorable Mention (3 way tie):

• Samara Smith — Wiley Intermediate School;
• Armani Bedore — Wiley Intermediate School;
• Conner Wilson — Wiley Intermediate School; and

Grade 9-12 – First Place:

• Minju Ha — Immaculate Heart Central School.

Winners are being displayed at the Flower Memorial Library and each winner is received a certificate and a Staples gift card. This work was supported by the Simons Foundation and is part of its “In the Path of Totality” initiative.
