    Flower Memorial Library’s Summer Reading Program starts June 1

    WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWTI) – Roswell P. Flower Memorial Library’s Summer Reading Program is back, with all ages welcome to participate.

    This year, participants ages 0 to 18 will be able to read and return their time for prize tickets from Saturday, June 1 at 9 a.m. until Friday, August 30 at 6 p.m. Participants aged 18 and over will have from Thursday, June 20 at 10 a.m. until Saturday, September 21 at 4:55 p.m. to report their time spent reading.

    Every hour equals 1 chance to win one of the Library’s prizes, reward options include:

    • Children ages 0 to 12 — gift cards for Amazon, Nintendo eshop, or Billy Beez; as well as a LEGO large brick box, Razor scooter, or deluxe art set;
    • Teens ages 12 to 18 — Walmart gift card, mystery bundle, 30 oz black Stanley cup, or a Nintendo Switch Lite
    • Participants aged 18 and over — winners’ choice of gift cards to Amazon, a local coffee shop, a local eatery (located within Watertown), Google Play/itunes, or Stewart’s Shops.

    Participation is easy,

    • Stop by the library to pick up a reading log;
    • Fill out the reading log as you read; and
    • Turn it in for prize tickets.

    Teen and adult participants have added option to turn in time read via online forms, links can be found on the library website .

    Winners must be able to pick up their prizes at the library, prizes will not be mailed, participants can only win 1 prize and reading hours must be submitted by the deadline. Teen participants are limited to submitting 200 hours total and adult participants to 250 hours.
