Question: Do I need to buy parking and admission tickets to the NYS Fair in advance?

While you have the option to buy both parking and admission tickets in advance, it’s not required.

Both parking and admission are cashless. You can buy both on the NYS Fair website and have the mobile pass on your phone to scan in the lots and at the gate, or you can print the parking pass/admission ticket to scan.

You can also buy parking and admission tickets ahead of time over the phone by calling Etix at 1-800-514-3849 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.

If you wait until you get to the Fairgrounds to buy parking, you’ll use your credit card at the lots. Parking attendants will have card readers that you can use to pay.

As for buying admission tickets at the Fairgrounds, you’ll notice QR codes on signs that you can scan with your phone or you can use service kiosks at the gates.

Admission and parking pricing details from the New York State Fair website:

• Admission tickets are just $8 each. People 65 years old and older and children 12 years old and under are admitted free every day of the Fair.
• A Frequent Fairgoer ticket will be available for a $25. This option allows the ticket holder to enter The Fair once a day, every day during The Fair. This ticket is non-transferable.
• Parking cost just $12 per vehicle for entrance into any of the Fair’s public lots.
• Please note there are no refunds or exchanges on tickets

With fees, the total cost to patrons will be $8.32 per admission ticket, $25.70 for the Frequent Fairgoer* option, and $12.41 for daily parking per vehicle.
