GEDDES, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) – You ask, we answer, State Fair edition!

The 2024 New York State Fair is underway! That means Fair-themed questions are rolling into the Your Stories Team and Fair staff.

Here’s a frequently asked question the Fair often gets from fairgoers:

What’s the difference between Chevy Court and Suburban Park?

These are the two concert venues at the Fair, and both have great acts! Concerts at Chevy Court are at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. Concerts at Suburban Park start at 8 p.m.

You’ll find Chevy Court near the front of the Fairgrounds, closest to the main entrance.

The Fair calls this their more intimate venue that offers bleacher-style seating.

Suburban Park is the larger concert venue that’s typically used for the day’s main headliner. You can find Suburban Park near the back of the Fairgrounds, in what is known as the Experience Area.

In 2023, Lainey Wilson set a NYS Fair record with 53,200 fans packing Suburban Park.

This is the second year this venue has been called Suburban Park. Prior to 2023, it was known as Chevy Park, and before that, New York Experience Stage, when it debuted in 2018.

The Fair decided to rebrand the venue due to confusion brought on by both concert areas having “Chevy” in its name.
