63-year-old Sandy Creek motorcyclist dead after accident

REDFIELD, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Just before 10 a.m. on Aug. 22, New York State Police were sent to a crash with injuries on County Route 17 in the town of Redfield.

Police say a black 2007 Harley Davidson that was being driven by a 63-year-old from Sandy Creek was headed south on County Route 17 when it crashed.

A preliminary investigation revealed that a dog entered the road, causing the 63-year-old to lose control and crash into an embankment.

The victim was taken to Upstate Hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.
