Governor to visit State Fair for Women’s Day

NEW YORK STATE FAIRGROUNDS (WSYR-TV) — Governor Kathy Hochul will visit the New York State Fair on Wednesday, August 28, to celebrate Women’s Day, her office confirms first to NewsChannel 9.

As the first woman governor in New York State history, Hochul will deliver remarks at the Women’s Day Brunch upon arrival before touring the Fairgrounds for some State Fair favorites.

Her past Fair tours have included Basillio’s Sausage, the Pan African Village, the New York State Police K-9 puppies and the Dairy Products Building.

The governor was unable to be on the Fair’s opening day last Wednesday, August 21, because of her attendance at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.
