CICERO, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Two 17-year-olds, three 16-year-olds, one 15-year-old, one 14-year-old, and a 24-year-old have all been arrested following what police call, a “crime spree” that happened at a Cicero store, that was followed up with thefts in the Town of Onondaga.

Around 1:15 a.m. on Aug. 27, the Cicero Police Department was sent to Preferred Power Sports for a burglary alarm.

According to police, officers at the scene found the front glass and front wall of the business had been “rammed” by a vehicle.

The suspects stole a 2024 Kayo motocross bike, a 2024 Kawasaki motorcycle, a 2024 Kawasaki street bike, a 2019 Yamaha street bike, Kawasaki’s KX450x, and a Honda CRF300, with a total theft value of $ 35,065 from the shop.

“Suspects then proceeded across Brewerton Road and were hiding the stolen vehicles in the wood line when they were confronted by a concerned citizen which caused the suspects to flee the area prior to police arrival,” said Cicero Police.

Afterward, the suspects headed to the Town of Onondaga where they were taken into custody by the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office for additional crimes.

“The individuals, after their crime spree in Cicero, drove to the Town of Onondaga and continued their nefarious activities by breaking into a utility trailer and stealing power tools and other construction accessories,” said the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office.

They continued to explain that the suspects stole a 2017 Polaris Ranger UTC from the property. A witness spotted them and called 911, which is when deputies responded and found them in the woods. They were detained there.

Cicero Police and Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office Detectives worked to interview the suspects and make arrests.

The sheriff’s office added that the group was responsible for the thefts in both towns.

24-year-old Brandon Correa of Syracuse was charged separately from both Cicero Police and the sheriff’s office. His charges are as follows:

    Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office:

    • Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, a Class D felony
    • Endangering the welfare of a child

    Cicero Police Department:

    • Burglary 3rd Degree, a class D Felony
    • Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, a Class D felony

The suspect has separate charges since one set of crimes happened in Cicero, and then another in Onondaga.

However, there are also seven juveniles, that are also facing charges. Two 17-year-olds, three 16-year-olds, one 15-year-old and one 14-year-old.

Two were released on a family court appearance ticket. The other five were arraigned in Onondaga County Youth Court.
